Rivington Terraced Gardens was created over 100 years ago, during that period it has faced many challenges.
Over the last recent years Rivington Heritage Trust, with the help of the delivery partner Groundwork, together with the Friends Group and our band of volunteers has undertaken a programme of restoration works that respects the original design and allows the spirit of the Gardens to live on.
Following these restoration works the Trust is committed to ensuring that the Gardens are maintained so that they can continue to be enjoyed by both today’s generation and by generations to come.

Where your money goes
We are a charity run entirely by volunteers with no regular income other than what we can raise.
It costs over £100,000 a year to keep the gardens maintained and safe for all to enjoy.
Every single penny of your donations goes towards maintaining the gardens in a fit state for the benefit of today’s generation and those that come after us.
