Proms in the Park: Platinum Jubilee Party in the Park-Day 2

Continuing our Proms in the Park Season
Join us on the Great Lawn for a second relaxed summer afternoon.
This event will take place on the afternoon of Saturday 4th June and will continue our Summer ‘Proms’ Calendar.
We have a fantastic roaming performance of Dragon Quest, by the incredible After Dark Theatre, taking place around the lawns, the Italian Lake and the Pigeon Tower from 12.30 onwards.
It’s time to take a amazing journey to the mythical Forest of Fantasy and Fables where you’ll enrol in the legendary Dragon Camp and help these fantastic beasts and their friends complete a magical mission.
Someone is plotting to steal the legendary Golden Dragon Egg and it is up to you to uncover the truth. On your incredible quest you’ll get to meet with the dragons, solve their puzzles, uncover clues and complete your adventure and become a master of dragons.
Part Mystery, Part Scavenger Hunt, Part Treasure Trail, this interactive event is fun for all the family. Plus there’s plenty of opportunities to meet and interact with the fascinating and fantastical dragons along the way.
It’s a legendary day out for all fantasy fans out there so put your dragon skills to the test and come and help us save the day!
We also have:
- A range of Street Performers on hand throughout the afternoon.
- Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea Party, provided for us by The Village Green Tea Rooms. (Tickets available to book from 27th April – Friends members, and 29th everyone else)
- A Carousel, Bungee trampolines, and Zorb balls and more traditional games for kids, big and small.
Gates open at 12.30 and the afternoon event will run until 4.30pm.
Tickets for the daytime event are free, though we expect demand to be high so please book yours below and help us keep a count on attendees.
At 5.30pm We will be hosting a stage performance of The Magic Dragon Show by the After Dark Theatre company.
Please note this event takes place on the Great Lawn and at various locations around the Gardens, many of the paths include steps and uneven surfaces. If you are concerned about accessibility please email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange to speak to a member of the Rivington Team for advice BEFORE booking your tickets.
Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear.
Well behaved dogs are welcome at this event.
Tickets will be available in advance to members of the Friends of Rivington Terraced Gardens, you will be able to secure your tickets before they go on sale to the general public. You will receive an email with dedicated password and will be able to book tickets straightaway.

PLEASE NOTE: Your booking confirmation is your ticket. We will not send out separate tickets, instead your name will be checked against our attendee list when you arrive.
Refreshments available, including the Northern Monkey Bar, the Paddock Gin bar and a fantastic selection of hot and cold food including Burgers, Hot-Dogs, Donuts, Waffles and Ice Cream.
